Slow Down to Move Forward

Somatic Experiencing ©, IFS, and EMDR trauma therapy for anxiety, codependency, life transitions & disconnection
Los Angeles & virtually across California

Welcome, You’ve Arrived

You’ve been holding and doing so much.
Here, you don’t have to.
This is a place to soften, to reconnect with your body, and to reclaim your life—on your terms.

Therapy for the ones who overfunction, overgive, and still wonder if they’re too much- or not enough.

Behind the polished exterior, the version of you that always shows up, holds it together, and gets things done, there is often a nervous system running on empty. In my Los Angeles therapy practice, I work with high-achieving women and sensitive souls who are tired of holding it all alone and are craving something more real. Together, we explore the roots of overfunctioning, self-doubt, and urgency so you can move at the pace of your body and finally feel at home in it.

A Mind, Body, Spirit Approach

Somatic Experiencing and Trauma Therapy in LA

You Deserve Therapy That Meets All of You
Each session is a collaboration. We’ll slow down, get curious, and make space for what’s been waiting to be seen.

Somatic Experiencing©

Regulate your nervous system, reconnect with your body

Somatic Experiencing helps release stored tension from the body and restore a sense of safety. If your body feels stuck in “survival mode,” this approach offers gentle tools to process fight/flight/freeze responses and come back to calm. Great for chronic stress, trauma, and anyone who feels disconnected from their physical self.

EMDR Therapy

Reprocess trauma at your body’s pace—not through force, but through trust

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) uses bilateral stimulation to help your brain “digest” and refile painful memories without reliving them. It’s evidence-based and deeply supportive for anxiety, PTSD, grief, and attachment trauma—especially when talk therapy hasn’t been enough.

IFS/ Parts Work

Support your inner child and rebuild internal trust

IFS (Internal Family Systems) helps you explore and heal the younger or protective “parts” inside you—like the perfectionist, the critic, or the wounded child. This approach fosters self-compassion, emotional clarity, and integration so that you can feel more whole, grounded, and present in your life and relationships.

Mindfulness

Reconnect with your body’s wisdom—slow down, tune in, and find ease.

Mindfulness practices help you gently return to the present moment, reducing stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. By learning to notice sensations and emotions without judgment, you develop greater resilience, self-compassion, and emotional balance, especially when traditional approaches haven’t felt supportive enough.

We slow down. We reconnect. And we build something stronger than just surviving together.

Support for the Parts of You That Feel Stuck

Therapy in West LA, Santa Monica, Beverly Hills

Whether you’re moving through anxiety, burnout, panic, or grief, each of these struggles is a doorway- we’ll meet it with compassion, curiosity, and care.

Anxiety & Panic Attacks

When your body is always bracing for something to go wrong, it can feel like you’re living in a constant state of tension. Whether it shows up as tightness in your chest, racing thoughts, or an overwhelming fear of being “too much,” anxiety can quietly take over. In our work together, we’ll listen to the signals your body is sending—and help it feel safe to exhale again.

Trauma & Complex PTSD

If you’ve been hurt by manipulative organizations or toxic relationships, it’s normal to feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure where to begin healing. I specialize in helping survivors of religious, organizational, or workplace abuse—as well as interpersonal trauma—find hope and wholeness again. Through holistic, body-based therapy, you can move beyond survival and into something more sustainable.

Relationships & Codependency

You’ve learned to earn love by being needed—by staying small, overgiving, or abandoning your own needs to keep the peace. But it’s exhausting. Our work together will help you unlearn codependent patterns, set boundaries without guilt, and build relationships rooted in mutual care, not self-sacrifice.

Burnout & Depression

You’ve been keeping it together for so long, no one knows how depleted you feel. Burnout often shows up in high-achieving, sensitive people who’ve internalized pressure to do more and be more. Together, we’ll gently explore the root of the fatigue—so you can reconnect with yourself, set boundaries that support your nervous system, and rediscover what rest and joy actually feel like.

Body Image & Chronic Pain

Your body holds the stories of your experiences—even the ones your mind has tucked away. Somatic therapy offers a trauma-informed, body-first path to healing, supporting you in feeling grounded, safe, and whole again. This work isn’t just about processing memories—it’s about helping your body feel like home.

Medical Trauma & Autoimmune

When your body holds the story. Chronic illness and past medical trauma can leave you feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or disconnected from your own body. Therapy offers a space to process the emotional toll, rebuild trust in yourself, and gently explore what healing can mean—on your terms.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You’re successful on the outside—but constantly anxious inside

You’re always giving, overthinking, and pushing through

You freeze or shut down when conflict or emotions come up

You crave real connection, but don’t feel fully safe in your relationships

You’ve tried talk therapy or self-help, but something still feels stuck

You’re not broken—and you’re not alone.

What you’re feeling might be your nervous system asking for care, boundaries, and deeper healing. In this space, we work gently with your body and emotions to help you feel more like yourself again.

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist serving Beverly Hills, West LA, Santa Monica, and Mid-City

You look composed on the outside, but inside, it’s a different story.

Licensed trauma therapist Chloe Bean working with couples and individuals to heal relationship patterns and foster deeper connection

You’re the one others lean on—the fixer, the overachiever, the steady hand. But high-functioning anxiety, trauma, and burnout don’t disappear just because you keep it all together. They surface in your body, your relationships, and the quiet moments you can’t control.

I’m Chloe Bean, LMFT—a trauma therapist based in Los Angeles specializing in high-functioning anxiety, codependency recovery, childhood trauma, and nervous system dysregulation. I support adults, teens, and couples across Beverly Hills, West LA, Santa Monica, and Mid-City who are ready to move from survival mode into deeper healing.

Using a trauma-informed and somatic approach, I blend EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and body-based therapy to help you gently reconnect with the parts of you that have worked so hard to protect you. Therapy here is paced with your nervous system, not your to-do list—and designed to help you soften, heal, and finally feel more like yourself.

This isn’t a race, its a return.

How It Works

Let’s Connect

Start with booking a free, confidential consultation call.

This is your space to share what’s bringing you in and ask any questions. The relationship is the foundation for healing—and you deserve to feel safe, seen, and supported from the very first conversation.

Build Safety

Your body sets the pace.

Together, we’ll explore the signals your nervous system is sending you and begin gently mapping patterns that may have protected you in the past but are no longer serving you. We’ll move slowly and collaboratively, always honoring what feels right for you.

Begin Healing

Reclaim your body, your voice, and your experience.

Through somatic therapy, parts work, and attachment repair, you’ll begin to feel more grounded in your truth. This isn’t just about symptom relief—it’s about becoming more of who you really are: regulated, connected, and whole.

  • Somatic therapy works with your nervous system, not just your thoughts. Unlike talk therapy that focuses mostly on the mind, somatic therapy gently helps your body release stored stress, trauma, and survival responses. You don’t have to relive every memory—we move at your body’s pace, with tools that honor what you feel and where you’re holding it.

  • Not at all. Many of my clients don’t identify with clinical terms—they just know something feels off. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, burnout, body image issues, or relationship patterns, this work can help you feel more connected, grounded, and whole—without needing a diagnosis first.

  • No. You’re in control at every step. We don’t rush into trauma or force stories. Instead, we listen to the body, build safety, and focus on regulation. Healing doesn’t mean revisiting everything—it means learning how to stay with yourself, even when it’s hard.

  • If you're a highly sensitive person, anxious achiever, or someone who feels overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck in the same emotional loops—this work may be exactly what you've been searching for. Our first step is a free 20-minute call to see if it feels like a fit, no pressure.

  • Sessions are collaborative and spacious. You might share something from your week, notice a body sensation, or explore a part of you that’s holding fear or shame. We use a mix of somatic experiencing, parts work (IFS), and EMDR depending on your needs. There’s no rigid script—only what supports your healing in the moment.
