Meet Chloë Bean, MA, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Trauma-informed Therapy for Anxious High Achievers, Toxic Relationships & Burnout
You don’t need more grit. You need space to soften- and finally exhale.
Welcome! I'm Chloë Bean, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in trauma-informed therapy for anxious high achievers, trauma survivors, and couples who are ready to feel embodied, empowered, and more present in their lives.
As a Somatic Trauma Therapist, I bring a warm, down-to-earth approach that honors your strength while creating space for healing. I integrate evidence-based modalities including:
Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples
Mindfulness and Somatic Experiencing
EMDR for trauma processing
My practice is LGBTQ+, neurodivergent, HAES (Health at Every Size), and BIPOC affirming, ensuring you feel seen and supported exactly as you are.
You Might Be My Ideal Client If…
You're a high achiever who looks composed on the outside but feels like you're barely holding it together inside. You're the one who overfunctions in life, love, and work—and still wonder if you're "too much" or not enough. You’re always managing others and have nothing left for yourself
You’re recovering from a breakup, betrayal, or identity shift
You can’t rest unless everything is “perfect” — but even then, you can’t exhale
You feel disconnected from your body, your relationships, or your sense of purpose
You’ve outgrown old survival strategies but don’t yet trust the new way
You May Recognize Yourself in these Patterns:
Chronic people-pleasing and caretaking roles
Anxiety, panic attacks, and perpetual self-doubt
Perfectionism that leaves you exhausted
Difficulty setting boundaries without guilt
Feeling responsible for everyone else's emotions
Your History Might Include:
Childhood trauma, neglect, or family conflict
Narcissistic, physical, or sexual abuse
Complex family dynamics that shaped your caretaker role
Previous relationships that left you questioning your worth
Current Struggles Often Involve:
Intimacy and relationship difficulties
Fear of abandonment alongside fear of being smothered
Body image concerns or disordered eating patterns
Ruminating thoughts, OCD tendencies, or depression
Burnout, grief, breakups, or overwhelming loneliness
Exploration of gender identity or sexuality
Specialized Support for Highly Sensitive People
Your Healing Journey: From Surviving to Thriving
I have particular expertise working with highly sensitive adults and teens who've spent their lives in caretaker roles across families, friendships, careers, and romantic relationships. If external validation has become your compass while your internal voice has grown quiet, we'll work together to strengthen that foundation from within.
Healing isn't about rushing to the finish line. We were never made to sprint—it was always meant to be a pilgrimage. Your journey will focus on:
Strengthening Your Internal Foundation
Re-parenting work to nurture your body and inner voice
Building self-compassion and trust in the healing process
Developing mind-body clarity and grounded presence
Moving Beyond What Holds You Back
Processing trauma through gentle, body-aware approaches
Learning to connect authentically without losing yourself
Creating sustainable patterns that honor your sensitivity
Reclaiming Your Full Potential
Stepping out of survival mode into embodied living
Building healthy, authentic relationships
Trusting your own wisdom and worthiness
My Personal Connection to This Work
As someone who experienced anxiety and trauma as both a child and adult, I found my own healing through art, music, and somatic therapies like IFS. This personal journey, combined with my passion for this work since my teenage years, brings deep understanding to our therapeutic relationship.
I'm honored to walk alongside clients as they discover they can slow down, soften, and still be exactly who they're meant to be.
Ready to Come Home to Yourself?
You deserve healthy, authentic love and intimacy.
It's time to come home to yourself so you can fully engage in the world around you—not from a place of depletion, but from genuine presence and self-compassion.
If you're a high achiever ready to stop sprinting through life and start experiencing the beauty along the way, I'd be honored to support your journey toward healing, stability, and growth.
